Pushead replied to the forum post LTD F-200B string questions

No worries man, the FAQ is easily overlooked.  I'm a guitarist that picked up bass in a band after years of guitar playing, so I had no idea what string sizes I'd want.On a "regular" guitar, I like heavier strings. ......MORE »

Pushead replied to the forum post LTD F-200B string questions

I think more importantly (at first) is what gauge of string you might be used to, and how you'll have the baritone tuned.  How do you feel about the string size that's currently on the guitar?According to the FAQ on the......MORE »

Pushead replied to the forum post E-II Eclipse vs Ltd EC-1000 Neck

That's where I'd say an Eclipse neck fits.  I have 60's necked Gibsons and 50's necked Gibsons and the Eclipse is right in the middle.  Round like the 50's but thinner.......MORE »

Pushead replied to the forum post E-II Eclipse vs Ltd EC-1000 Neck

I find the ESP and E-II necks on an Eclipse to match the LTD EC models, though the shape you describe doesn't quite match what I expect. I'm used to the necks being fairly rounded throughout, and not especially round at the......MORE »

Pushead replied to the forum post ESP Viper Urban Camo gets glossy

Unfortunately not.  It's how matte finishes react to being touched.  A combination of the oils in your skin and any friction from movement cause a polishing effect. It's not just guitars it happens to, anything with......MORE »

Pushead replied to the forum post My ESP LH-150 melted -- need to replace them.

There isn't anywhere that speficically tells you.  The trembuckers (and F-spaced for other brands) work from the idea that guitars with tremolo bridge systems have the strings slightly further apart.  I think even......MORE »

Pushead replied to the forum post My ESP LH-150 melted -- need to replace them.

The humbuckers are one size fits all, though the spacing of the poles (screw faces) vary.  For your guitar, you'd be looking F-spaced (I think they consider them "Trembucker" size with Seymour Duncan).......MORE »

No 9V battery connector is needed.  The EMG HZ pickups are not active, they're passive.  What you will need is a capacitor of some sort to work with the tone pot. Here's a better diagram to use for your......MORE »

Pushead replied to the forum post Push/pull pots

The traditional thinking is that a single coil pickup goes to a 250k pot and humbuckers go to a 500k pot.  With all other things being equal, a higher resistance potentiomenter will allow more high-end through the......MORE »
