The LTD GL-256 is based on a guitar from the personal collection of George Lynch, world-renowned guitarist whose career as a metal and rock guitarist with bands like Dokken and Lynch Mob through today's innovative KXM has always been highly respected by players around the world. You need to go back to 1956 to imagine the origins of this guitar, and to the early 1980s, when ESP was gaining its reputation as a company who tricked out traditional guitars for contemporary performance styles. With the GL-256, you get an affordable way to have the look, feel, and tone of a guitar that's been rocked hard (but cared for lovingly) for decades. It employs the classic bolt-on construction of a comfortable alder body and a maple neck that has an extra thin U shape. You're not likely to find a more comfortably playable guitar. The GL-256 comes with a vintage-style tremolo, and includes an H/S/S pickup configuration with ESP Designed LS-120 single coils in the neck and middle spots, and an ESP Designed LH-150B humbucker in the bridge. Available in a highly distressed 2-Tone Burst finish.
