M-4 BLACK METAL

BLACK SATIN

M-4 BLACK METAL
$999.00

The LTD Black Metal Series is comparable in build quality to our LTD Deluxe “1000 Series” instruments, but with a dark and menacing design theme of all-black finish, components, and hardware, a single premium-quality pickup, Macassar ebony fingerboards with no inlays and glow-in-the-dark side markers, and even a newly-designed black metal LTD logo on the headstock. The M-4 Black Metal marks the return of the M design to our bass offerings, with its bolt-on construction, slab body, speedy maple neck, and and pointed inline headstock. This 34” scale bass features a single direct-mount EMG 35CS pickup with special black logo, a pickup that combines ceramic magnets and steel poles for warmth and punch with a smooth top end and plenty of output. The M-4 Black Metal also features Grover tuners, a Gotoh 201B-4 bridge, and stainless steel frets.

Just bought this bass from Sweetwater and I’m looking forward to rock this gorgeous instrument to the depths of hell.

The looks of this bass are stunning and the voicing's got its own character too. Would consider possible purchase. On the side you may consider to release this model in Arctic White like the respective guitars to broaden the choice range (it will also be equally stunning).

This bass would be Amazing if it had 2 pickups, volume and blend knobs,  3 band EQ, neck thru design and a reverse headstock. and since its my idea if you make one send it to me lol

Will this bass be made in lefty at any point?

Todd B. ESP

Hi Michael, Sorry it's not available currently in LH but that could be an option in the future.

I would love to see this body style make a comeback for bass!  If this was a PJ, or had a neck pickup, it would be perfect in my opinion.  Still curious about this one and hope to hear a good demo of it online somewhere!

Hey Cody, thanks for your suggestions. This used to be a popular shape for ESP back in the 80's....maybe it's time for a comeback as you said!

I've got a late 80's M-IV that's a PJ, and it's stellar! Looks like this model is a refresh of the M-IV, and looks great. Super comfy, sounds great. Tough as nails. If this is anything like my vintage rig, I'd recommend it.
