Pêche.

placed a order for mine last night!
CANT WAIT to lower the tone with this.

Todd B. ESP

Hi Peche, That's great to hear! Thank you for giving us a chance with this guitar and we hope you do like it. May I ask where did you purchase the guitar from? The dealer you purchased from should have the case that fits this model. Our MH-8 String case fits this model: https://www.espguitars.com/products/12740-cmh8ff?category_id=1965174-esp-cases

One more thing to note: This year we include the case with the guitar so please check with your dealer about that. It is possible that some dealers are still selling stock from last year which did not include case, so the price would be lower without case.

Nolan R.

Is there anyway that i can get this in a 7string model?

Todd B. ESP

Hi Nolan, Sorry we don't offer every configuration and color. So currently not possible to get what you're looking for. The only Horizon shape in 7 string is the purple satin with single hum model

Jeremy M.

Hi Todd, will you guys ever at some point include different colors for this model with a Floyd Rose just like Stephen uses? The purple and gold conbo in an LTD version of this would be absolutely killer.

Todd B. ESP

Hey Jeremy, Thanks for sharing the photo and suggestion. There are no plans currently but we could certainly consider this option in the future.

Giacomo B.

Hi Todd, thank you for your reply. Ok so if I understand well with the push/pull of the master volume we can switch between "active" and "passive. When we are in "active" position then we can switch between the humbuckers bridge/bridge-and-neck/neck; when we are in "passive" position we can switch between the hum buckers bridge/bridge-and-neck/neck. This means that is not possible to have bridge-and-neck together with bridge as "active" and neck as "passive", and vice versa. Is it right my understanding ? Thank you, Giacomo

Todd B. ESP

HI Giacomo, yes your understanding is correct. Please keep in mind that "active" and "passive" is not technically correct, it is just an explanation for the sound. This system is always active and always using the battery to operate. If you wanted to combine different pickups with different voicings, you could add another push pull pot and make each pickup have it's own voice control pot.

Giacomo B.

Hello, are the pick-ups humbukers ? Could you explain in details how the pick-ups work ? and how the push-pull and switch engage the pick-up ? Single coil too? There is a video that show it in details ? Thank you in advance, Giacomo

Todd B. ESP

Hi Giacomo, Yes these pickups are humbuckers. They have a high output with low noise and are active (using a battery to power the sound). The pickups work just like any other active pickup, only the internal construction method is different. Instead of a coil of wire which is the traditional method to build pickups, the Fluence pickups use a circuitboard with the "coil" printed on the board. They are able to control exactly how each pickup sounds and make them identical every time. There is no single coil function for this set. There are 2 voices. When the master volume is down (normal position), Voice 1 is active. This sound is a high output sound that you would consider a high output active humbucker to sound like. When you pull up on the master volume, Voice 2 is active. In this position, you can notice a little less volume/output and the sound is shaped more like a passive pickup but still has a good attack. I hope this helps and if you want to learn more about these pickups please visit Fishman FLuence's website to learn more.

Martin J.

Hi, it has nickle frets? thats a minus

Todd B. ESP

Hi Martin,  We do use nickel frets for all our products except for our USA models. Sounds like there is some interest in stainless frets, thanks for letting us know that.

Martin J.

yeah, thanks for answer, if u put ss frets to all your models in some mid range guitars , i will definitely buy them. I mean it doesnt higher the price so much and its better than refret them after some time, cause nickel is just nickel.

Todd B. ESP

Hi Martin, Got it, thanks for your input and feedback. We appreciate it!

Sean N.

hi, does the guitar have a 3 piece maple neck or a 1 piece neck?

thanks

Todd B. ESP

Hi Sean, This model has a 3 piece maple neck. In fact all of our neck thru and set neck models for LTD use 3 piece neck construction to ensure great stability and performance.

Kyle F.

Played one in store recently. Gorgeous instrument, really fun to play. The only thing I'd change about this guitar is an ebony fingerboard with no inlays.

Todd B. ESP

Hey Kyle, thanks for your suggestions. Glad you liked this guitar when you tried it.

Gabriel S. Castro

Why the 8 Strings models don't have hard tail fixed bridge, but only 7 string models have it?

Todd B. ESP

HI Gabriel, The 8 string models use a Hipshot fixed bridge. This is considered a hardtail. The 7 strings use a TOM bridge  with string thru body instead of a tail piece. Both bridge designs have the strings go through the body so in that way they are very similar. However, the 8 string must use a flat fixed bridge because there is no 8 string option for TOM style bridge (it would not be advisable because of the width of an 8 string to use a bridge that is suspended in the air - it would possibly break or bend).

If this finish was on the SC-607B with the red SRC inlay I’d be all over this! Please ESP I beg you to do this! I dreamed of one day owning a copy of Stephan’s Dorothy! I’m still gunna buy this too lol

Brooks R.

Yes he does actually! I saw it on a YouTube video he did for guitar world and he shows his Dorothy 7 string. Thanks for the reply!
