The EC Series are great guitars. I have the 256FM and with a good setup it’s a great player. Fretwork is very good for a guitar in this price. Pickups are a bit thin and raspy for me so they will get changed.

This guitar plays on par with my Gibson Les Paul Traditional which really surprised me. It’s got a couple of higher frets but nothing serious and does not buzz at all with a medium low action and very little neck relief.

The nut action is set well, but the nut itself appears to be plastic and is roughly contoured with sharp edges and a lot of material above the strings. It will get changed to a bone or tusq nut and get a fret level and dress.

Overall a great guitar, especially at this price point.

Bought this guitar in see through purple, it’s very quickly become one of my favorite guitars to reach for in any situation. I was looking at Les Paul studios and this guitar outperformed all of them. Will probably buy the 1000 series in the same colorway when I have the money.

Just bought this guitar one week ago, absolutely amazing!

I just bought one in the cherry burst. Mine will arrive tomorrow. Boy are my fingertips going to be sore a while. I haven't played in several years but the hiatus is over!

Received my EC-256 two weeks ago and pleasantly surprised with the quality of this instrument. Flawless finish, nice job on the frets that are rounded and leveled but the polish could be better. Very comfortable to play thanks to its neck that stands somewhere between U and D, and very good sound from the stock pickups. Thanks ESP Keep up the good work on those affordable guitars !

Are these the normal ESP thickness body or are they the 'traditional' thickness? I really want an EC that has the thinner (i.e. non-'T') body but 22 frets, not a 24.

I think the EC256 has a thin body. You can search it on youtube for better angles!

That's what these are. The thin version with 22 frets.
