I'd like to see a stripped down TE401B. 27" scale with an inverted head stock. Just the emg 81 at the bridge a volume knob and a two way toggle kill switch at the top like the 3 way switch on the EC models

Thanks for suggesting that.

I think ESP/LTD should take a careful look at the TE lineup. It seems to me that it's missing something "in the middle". I mean, there are a few 200 and quite some 1000, but just one 401 model. I would love to see a 24 fret, bolt-on neck with (good) passive humbuckers guitar in the te-401 price range....

Hi, thanks for pointing out your concerns. We appreciate your feedback and suggestions.

I bought the te-401 from zzounds.. I put 10-52 gauge strings on it cuz I play it tuned to c.. I keep it in a room with 30% humidity.. it’s been fine everyday for 5 months.. yesterday when I was tuning it about to play it, I heard a loud snap noise.. it scared the hell outta me and I looked all over the guitar and it was just fine..there was no marks no cracks no nothing.  today it was buzzing on the first 3 frets so I took it into a local shop and was informed that the truss rod in it is broken as it wouldn’t “tighten or loosen” I absolutely love this guitar and am at a loss.. I learned what a truss rod was yesterday.. how could something like this happen? Is it a know issue with this model? What should I do now? There has never been any adjustments to the truss rod as again I found out where it was and what it’s for yesterday! Unless they were made BEFORE I purchased the guitar brand new! When I was tuning it , it was very close to being In tune, I just needed to do a fine tuning on it so I could play. The guitar tech told me that tuning wouldn’t cause this issue and that the strings would break way before the rod if they were over tightened.. what should I do now?? I can play it from the 4th fret and above but I feel sick to my stomach about this. Andy thing below the 4th fret is t playable and the guitar told me it’s cuz the neck has a “back bow” . what should I do! Please help!

I just want to say that I've been using the TE-401 for two years now and it sounds AMAZING. I plug it into a Radial ProDI, which is connected into a Scarlett 2i2 3rd gen, which is connected into a Macbook Air M1, where I use STL ToneHub to shape my tone. Highly recommended!
