Coach Kim Sang-sik, who took the helm of the Vietnam national soccer team, pledged to play winning soccer while emphasizing the unity of the team.

Coach Kim, who began his leadership career as a playing coach for Jeonbuk Hyundai in professional soccer K-League 1 in 2013, ascended to the head coach of Jeonbuk in 2021 as the successor to coach Jose Morais.

In his first year as manager, he led Jeonbuk to the top of K-League 1, and the following year, he led them to victory in the FA Cup (now Korea Cup) and the semifinals of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League (ACL).
