After the game, Kim said, “I actually asked for a change in the batting order. I met with coach (Hong Se-wan batting) yesterday and asked him to bat first. I wanted to get a lot of at-bats, so I asked for a change in the batting order, and I think the coach listened to my suggestion. I'm happy that I'm getting a lot of good at-bats.”

Choi, who proved why he is the undisputed No. 4 batsman with an early three-run arch, said, “My batting hasn't been that good lately. However, other players are doing so well, so it's not too much pressure. I think my batting feeling will come one day. I'm trying to find that feeling as much as possible, not only in practice but also when I step into the batter's box. The team was on a losing streak, so I thought it would be very important to get the first run of the game today. I got a chance to score in my first at-bat, and I focused on making contact rather than aiming, but I was lucky enough to get it.”

Choi added, “The team was on a losing streak, but I didn't care too much. I felt that the losing streak would not last long because the team's strength is good. Even if we lost today, we felt like we could win the next game. We had a tough three-game series, but I think it was a team effort, especially today, with all of our pitchers concentrating hard.”
