Werner Tottenham's 'super-speedy' striker will buy no one this summer

RB Leipzig striker Lois Offenda reportedly has a buyout clause, but with the additional information that it will be triggered next year instead of this summer, interest from several clubs is likely to dwindle.

Offenda has shown what he's capable of since arriving in the big leagues this season. The Belgian international has developed in his home country of Kruppbrücher and in France at Reims. Last year, he broke into the German Bundesliga after being identified as Leipzig"s next big thing. In a game against Bayern Munich, he exploited the space behind Kim Min-jae well. He has 24 goals and seven assists through 31 Bundesliga rounds and four goals in eight games in the UEFA Champions League (UCL).

With his blistering pace and decisiveness, Offenda was the 'upward compatibility' of former Leipzig striker Timo Werner. Werner, who had lost the decisive touch of his youth, had returned to Leipzig after a failed spell at Chelsea and showed signs of resurgence last season, scoring nine league goals. This season, however, he has been completely overshadowed by Offenda, playing 토토 less and less in the first half of the season, scoring just two goals. His loan move to Tottenham Hotspur in January of this year was to give him a chance to play in a new environment.

Offenda's performances have attracted interest from a number of big clubs in need of a striker, but according to Fabrizio Romano, a transfer is unlikely to happen this summer. That's because he has a buyout clause, but it won't be triggered until next summer. It is valued at 80 million euros (about $118 million).

Leipzig have signed Offenda for at least two seasons before letting him go. He could be sold if a bid significantly exceeds his buyout clause, but given the tendency of Bundesliga clubs to plan their squads, a move is unlikely this summer.

As for Werner, who plays alongside Son Heung-min at Tottenham, his form has improved, but his lack of goals remains a problem. Spurs are reportedly not completely satisfied with Werner's form and are looking to extend his loan for another year rather than trigger a buyout clause.
