In the first men's 500m race, Cho Sang-hyuk (Sports Toto Ice Skating Team) took 4th place (34.81 seconds), Kim Jun-ho (Gangwon Special Self-Governing Provincial Office) took 6th place (34.82 seconds), and Gu Gyeong-min (Pangok High School) set a personal best record.
