Coming Soon: Custom and Limited-Edition Classic Horror/Monster Guitars!
Here’s something you weren’t expecting: ESP has recently established new relationships that will allow us to produce guitars featuring classic, world-renowned horror-themed graphics! Later this week, we’ll be at the Comic-Con International 2012 convention in San Diego, CA to unveil the first of these amazing collectibles.
The Original Vampire: LTD Bela Lugosi Dracula Guitar
On July 12 at Comic-Con, the first result of ESP’s licensing agreement with Lugosi Enterprises (run by Bela Lugosi Jr., the son of the famed horror movie actor) will be shown with the debut of the LTD Bela Lugosi Dracula Guitar, a limited edition model that will be available in Fall 2012 (in fact, it’s currently scheduled to come out on Halloween, appropriately). The artwork for the guitar’s graphics was created by Kerry Gammill, publisher of Monsterverse Entertainment. In addition to the outstanding “Tales from the Grave” body graphics, the guitar features Dracula-themed inlays, and is designed for high-performance playing with an alder body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, EMG 81 active pickups, and 24 XJ frets.

The LTD Bela Lugosi Dracula is just the first guitar that ESP will be introducing in this series. More partnerships with other entities in the monster/horror film and comic genre are pending, and we expect additional guitars with exclusive themed graphics will be announced later this year. if you want a hint about these new models and are heading for Comic-Con, be sure to stop by the exhibits of Monsterverse, Famous Monsters of Filmland, and Heavy Metal.
You probably know we’re no strangers to custom graphic guitars; ESP has been worldrenowned for our custom models since our inception in 1975, and for over 25 years have made guitars for Metallica guitarist (and well-known monster/horror enthusiast) Kirk Hammett, among many others.
