Alder body vs mahogany

Alder body vs mahogany

hello guys

I'm just wondering if alder body is suitable for metal music.

I see some esp like the Mii that have alder on it , would it have an impact on the sound ? Or the mahogany is the way to go ?

I know that the pickups and the amp have the greatest impact , but still , the wood does play a role ?

Thx

The wood will definitely play a size-able role in your tonal projection, but the choice of wood is highly dependent on the player's personal preference. Both Alder and Mahogany are well suited for metal tones. An Alder body will produce brighter sounds as the wood is more dense, but not as bright or sharp as Maple. Conversely, Mahogany will provide a darker and warmer tone. We suggest sitting down with a couple variations to try them out.
