ESP Baritone strings

    Just got a baritone viper.  Aside from being a bit neck heavy it's been a blast to play.  I've been experimenting with a bunch of tunings and the guitar plays fine on the stock strings. Question: anyone experimenting with different strings on the baritones? if so what are you using? and what tunings?

    I play mine tuned up a half-step (C-standard) and I use EB .012 - .056 strings. It's the same gauge I use on my "regular" guitars in C standard. I like using the baritone when I'm tracking big chuggy riffs because of the extra string tension. It helps get some of the mud out when compared to playing the same riff on a 24.75 scale.

      Nice, that's pretty close to what ESP shipped with this guitar. 13- 56.  C standard and dropped C feel a little tight with those strings but very playable.  I never liked tuning my standard guitars down that low, always felt sloppy on standard strings or awkward on bigger strings. thanks for the feedback!
