Looking at an E-II

Updated
Michael W.

hey guys just curious about something. I've been eyeing an E-II and I currently have a LTD deluxe mh-1000. I know the E-II series is supposed to be higher in quality and would be the highest quality guitar I've owned so far. So my question is can higher quality guitars be setup better in terms of action ? Can it be lower without buzzing ? Thanks guys

Having owned Ltd-1000 series guitars, and an E-II, I would say that yes, an E-II can be set up with lower action with less buzz. However that is only because the fret dressing on every made in Japan ESP I've played is better than the Korean models. Therefore I would also say that if your frets are perfect, there won't be much of a difference in terms of fret buzz.

An E-II will also be made with better cuts of wood, dried more thoroughly giving you a clearer sounding, more deeply resonating guitar.
