Hey all,

I used to have a 400 Series Tele with original pickups and I *loved* the sound of it. Stupidly, I got rid of the guitar. More recently I was able to acquire another one, but somebody swapped in Carvin rails which, surprisingly to me since I'm usually a fan of Carvin's stuff, I do not like. So:

- Anyone know the exact model #s of the original pups in the T453? I found an online catalog from '84 with the info, but it's tiny and impossible to read. LH-something.

- If I'm unable to locate an original set, anyone got opinions about what exists today that approximates that same sound? What I loved most in my first one were the bright, crystal clear, ringing clean tones along with the smooth hard-driving dirty ones. The best of the Tele feel, but guts on steroids.
