Original series not neck thru?
Hey guys, first post! I wanted to ask here for confirmation to what I am seeing.. So, it looks like the original series eclipse guitars are not neck thru? I thought the old customs were neck thru and the original series was basically a custom now? I had an eclipse 2 and I know that one was set neck because it was a standard series but I thought all the customs were neck thru.. Did that change?
Also, it looks like the USA series eclipse guitars are neck thru? Why would ESP make the USA guitars neck thru and the Japanese ones not, even though the Japanese models cost more?

Original Series Eclipse are set neck. It is true that earlier CS Eclipses were offered with neck-thru construction but that spec has changed. And yes, the Original Series are Custom Shop built instruments, same as if you ordered one special.
USA Eclipses are actually set-thru rather than neck-thru. You can find neck thru ESP Eclipses on several siganture models (Gary Holt, Jeff Hanneman, Will Adler, Richard Z).
