      Yes, yes I did.

       

      Could not get used to the "vintage" frets, and did not want to do a refret.

        I think the "Traditional" Strats came after the 400 Series and before the Vintage Plus', so late eighties to early nineties.  I believe they called them "Traditional" because they were designed to be similar to 50s-60s original Strats with vintage tuners, pups, and frets.  I prefer XJs, Duncans, and locking tuners.  Just a preference thing.  I want another mid 90s Vintage Plus Strat with rosebud board, if anyone knows of one.  Mucho thanko.
