brilliant stuff re kirks burst

and £150k for that burst in the OP is a great price. there is a 1958 in similar or not as good in a store down from my office up for £135,000. I thought £150,000 would be on the money if not still on the cheap side even in this economy. In the day 'mint' vibrant bursts with red still in them were $500,000k dead and or up (£350l?)

I love guitars, its practically all I think about but I would never cough up that kind of money for a guitar no matter how rich I was.  I just think its a question of ethics and morality.  That money could be used to help alot of needy ppl who could really use a break in life.  You could do something meaningful with that money that could positively change alot of things around the world. A guitar is just a thing and you can always buy a gibson VOS that is gonna sound damn near just like that guitar.
