            Suhr satin necks are finished,  The Satin is an acrylic urethane finish  The Suhr Satin necks are the best feeling necks I have ever played on any guitar ever.  

            An Unfinished neck would would be unstable and eventually warp.   Unfinshed necks have been treated with tung oil or someting similar. Tung oil is more of an actual finish than its name would suggest.
