When posting a photo, the image admin has a default setting of 'Medium' when it comes to sizing the photo. If that is too small, you have the option to select a different size (smaller or bigger). To do so, you need to be in the 'Image Details' tab after uploading your photo and select the dropdown that has 'Medium' as the selected size and choose the size you prefer. I know alot of you size images for the web already (except the random guy who posts an epic sized photo) so you could probably choose the 'Original' setting to keep it sized the way you have it.
