    Hi all is there much of a difference between a RG75G2 and a RG50TC basically solidstate vs Tube Combo ? I've got the RG75G2 and have seen a RG50TC at a good price is it worth upgrading,or are they pretty similar I won't notice much of a difference soundwise, mainly play metal, looking for some advice. Cheers all.

    If the RG75G2 sounds anything like my RG200G3 that I blew up I'd say its definitely an upgrade. You should really look into a better half stack or something though. 4x12 cabs are cheap used and there's lots of good high gain tube heads that are super cheap.

      Not what you're asking but I've run my RG75G2 through my 2x12 Greenback cabinet and it sounds much better through there than the stock Seventy80 speaker.
