The ESP Guitar Company

Anybody install EMG Xs in their axe? I put the 85X in my STD FX, very fizzy. I noticed that the Xs come with and require an active tone control (VLPF). I see that ESP doesn't use EMG electronics internally for tone and volume. Everything is soldered, not the plug n' play stuff, looks like I'll need to swap all the wiring out and put the new stuff in. Not sure it is worth the hassle, i.e. just get the EMG 85 standard instead.
