Best strings for B, F#, B, E, G#, C#
If you like the feel of gauge 9-42 strings on a 25.5" scale, do the following for drop B (if the guitar you are tuning to drop B is 25.5"):-
Ernie Ball Beefy Slinky (the yellow packet, gauged 11-54).
Swap the plain 22 gauge G (or E for the purposes on drop B) for a wound one (that may just be me, I think the plain 22 feels horrible).
Swap the 54 gauge low B for a 56 gauge.
Absolutely perfect.
Feels like 9s in E standard. ;)
From HERE.
Ive got some 52-12s (i thinks..it could be 54) on my explorer but they seem to tight.

Wouldn't it be, best is .010-.050? Drop B is just C# Standard with the first string Dropped. I use .011-.054 (Beefy Slinky). If yours Morphius1 are .012-.054, I believe those are Not Even Slinky, right?
Just try out some different shit, and see what you like.
I use this tuning on my ec-1000 and I use 10's. They stay in tune perfectly. 10's work for me.
