Help with Wiring.

I need help, I'm trying to replace the bridge pickup of my LTD TE-200 and it looks like the bridge pickup and the neck pickup are intertwined? Is this normal this is my second time swapping pickups and I've never seen something like this do I de solder them? Any help is appreciated!

The bridge pickup is the black wire, and the neck pickup is the gray wire. (The pickup I'm replacing it with is a Guitar Madness Power Rail humbucker.)

It's a bit difficult to tell exactly what's going on there, but it appears that it's just the ground wires that are soldered together. Realistically, they should be soldered to the back of one of the pots. Maybe they were and you removed them, or they fell off. I doubt the wiring was like that from the factory.

Crap, so do I just de solder them both?

Keep in mind this is my 2nd time soldering so I'm still a noob at this.

Update - I completed the pickup swap.
