What pots to get for active 81/85?

    What pots to get for active 81/85?

    My volume pot is starting to crackle so I decided it is time for a new pot, but I can't decide which one. I have found 25k solderless emg pot, but the problem is that I don't have solderless pickups. Can I solder solderless pots or is there a different volume pot for active emg 81/85's that would be just as good?

      Alpha Potentiometers are soft or hard to turn? because I will need also and I hate the soft ones to turn. I prefer hard same Gibson pots.

        I got the alpha pots and they are decently stiff turning, but you might have a different idea of what is hard or not to turn.

          Jeff, do you have ani idea if the Alpha pots sensivitie are similar when turn as the Fender pots?
