Body Cavity not looking so hot?

    Just bought a used KH-602. It looks as if it's in near-mint condition on the outside. When I opened up the back cavity the other day, it looked like this:

     

     


    I don't know much about Floyds or guitar cavities, but is there something off with this? Should it look so rusted/dirty? I'm a noob and I appreciate your responses/opinions.

    The white stuff is just polishing compound. It's rough in there because a cover goes over it. They weren't going to spend much time sanding between coats of paint.
