Tremolo block

Tremolo block

Does anyone happen to know the size of the small wooden block to use when removing strings on a floyd rose to block the bridge float angle. Or maybe just any suggestions on what others use that works well would be much appreciated.

I typically use a paint stir and use it as a bridge over the cavity if I have to remove all the strings at once. You don't need to keep it at the exact level, once the strings are back on and in tune, everything will return to where it was.

If you change the gauge of strings, or the tuning, then you need to get into adjusting the springs at the back.

Hey great idea. And thanks for the tips very much.

If you dont have a paint stirrer you can also use one of those rectangle pencil erasers inside of the cavity.

I use a 9 volt battery wrapped in electrical tape. Seems to do the job well.
