Coil Tap Switch Issues on 414 Surveyor

    Hi All

    This is my first post so apologies in advance if I am posting in the wrong place!

    I have recently bought a secondhand Ltd Surveyor 414 and cannot get the cool tap switch to make an difference to the sound. By coincidence, I met a bloke at a gig who had the exact same issue on his 414 Surveyor.

    Is this a well known fault on this bass? What is the fix?

    I have had the back off and everything looks in order. The bass is in good condition, battery replaced.

    I understand that the switch is meant to change the sound from a MM type sound to a Jazz sound on bridge pickup, but using the switch makes no difference whatsoever, irrespective of control positions.

    I do not believe the switch to be faulty.

    Any ideas?
