String Spacing
String Spacing
Hey all,
I have an ESP LTD F-2e
I am looking at new pickups and can't find an f-spaced version of the pickup I'm looking at
Dimarzio says 43mm nut and over should be f-spaced
but the F-2e has a 42mm nut
anyone know the specific dimentions of this instrument?

The "F-s Spaced" pickup is designed for guitars with wider string spacing in the bridge Amanda The Adventurer, such as guitars with a tremolo system or wider neck widths. You should choose a recorder that matches your tone and works well with your playing style preferences, whether they are specifically labeled F-s Spaced or Regular-s Spaced.
Since your nut width is slightly smaller than the recommended for f spaced pickups you might want to experiment with regular spaced pickups or consult with a guitar technician to see if there is a workaround.

It's a rare thing for aftermarket pickups to exactly match the string spacing of a guitar. I know people will disagree, but the pole spacing isn't really that big of a deal. If DiMarzio doesn't offer it in F spaced, just get the regular spaced. You'll be fine.
