New nut for a ESP Snakebyte

New nut for a ESP Snakebyte

I need to replace the nut of my Snakebyte. The slot of the 6th string was cut too low for my taste and I think its time for a new nut.

I was thinking about getting a slotted one at stewmac.com and then give it to my local luthier to install it,  but I don´t know which type/model will fit my guitar. Could you guys give me some help?

Thank you!

Pushead

Let your luthier supply the nut and cut the slots in the appropriate place.  Pre-slotted nuts might not be right for your guitar, even if the nut is the correct width.

It's a $35 job in this part of the world for the nut, installation and setup.

I was thinking if it is easy for a luthier to shape the nut just like the original one of my guitar. I want to maintain the original look and keep it as orginal as possible. Most nuts supplied by luthiers I´ve seem its just a block shaped nut, very different than the one my guitar has.

Thanks Pushead!
