Block the trem!

I want to turn my floyd rose brindge into a complete hard tail bridge. Could I put wood blocks on both sides of the block, and if so how tight should they be?

LOL you have a floating trem specifically designed to give you complete tremolo usability whilst maintaining stability (in theory) and you want to block it off?

Some people want to do that... I love having Floyds on my guitars for the tuning stability and the ability to do the woop woop antics, but most of the time I don't touch it... I'm considering an Arming Adjuster for it, too... Don't feel like installing a tremol-no.

Ever tried unison bends with a floyd?
Possible? Yes. (With the right amount of pressure against the floyd to keep in tune.)
Fun? No.

I really love my OFR, but this is a major turn-off to me. (Perhaps I should put in more springs, or stronger ones?)
