Setup problems
Alright chaps, Having a problem with one of my guitars and was wondering if anyone could help. No matter how muach I try, I can't get the damn things to tune up. Normally I use the 12th fret harmonic method to tune, and the 5th / 4th fret method to confirm it's in; and this tends to work fine. On this particular guitar however every time I tune using the harmonics, the natural 5th /4th method sounds out, and chords sound totally out. If I tune the strings using the 5th / 4th method, the harmonics sound out, but chords sound good. Does this sound like an intonation issue? Neck issue? Cheers

Intonation issue.

There are literally hundreds of videos on YouTube to show you how to adjust the intonation. It's fairly easy to do on your own.

When I setup the intonation I tune up with a tuner then play the note at the 12th fret and it should be the same note when you play that string open. You then adjust the saddles on the bridge according to how sharp or flat the the note is at the 12th fret.
