Amp Problems
Helo everyone,
I went for a vacation and came back about a month later, after which I plugged my guitar into my JSX to play as I usually would have.
However, I noticed that whenever I stopped playing (and sometimes even whilst Im playing) Id hear either a short burst of a squeaky sound or a long constant squeal. The best way to describe the sound would be a sad and drawn out squeaky fart.
Any ideas peoplez, what could be the problem?

Squeals are usually a failing tube. If you have one good spare 12ax7 and one good spare el34 powertube, I would substitute one by one until the squeal disappears. Then you found the bad one.
You can also tap each tube with a pencil (use eraser) and a bad tube's squeal will get exaggerated/louder with the tapping.
