EC-1000 Deluxe body composition

    Are the EC1000 Deluxe models weight relieved or chambered like Gibsons, and also, are the Viper Deluxe models weight relieved or chambered? Any information would be helpful. I have read comments on how light the EC1000's are and am wondering the reason for this lightness at a time when only heavier varieties of mahogany are easily available. Thanks for your ideas. Duffy

    They just happen to have a slimmer body thickness than a gibson les paul altogether really, so its a solid piece of wood, but simply a slimmer cut.

    ESP do make what are known as 'full thickness' eclipse models, but only a select few models have those specifications, and they are easily as heavy or heavier than the current Gibson fare, due to being solid wood with no 'weight relief' nonsense :p
