Floyd Rose cover plate

I just received my Urban Camo M-II I ordered and the guitar is great, but one thing is odd. The back plate that covers the springs for the Floyd isn't recessed like all of my other guitars are, so the plate protrudes just a bit. There wasn't a route made out for the plate to sit in. Is this normal for anyone else on their M-II?

yes, it's normal...most, if not all (if i'm correct), standard series have that... My SV does it have like that...But I took the backplate of anyways..

It's gay for sure. Take it off.

Cool. I didn't think it was anything, but I wanted to make sure. One other question. Is it typical for the urban camo finish to be satin like?

My original series M-II DX also has a non-recessed backplate. I don't even have a backplate for it actually, even if It had one it wouldn't be on the guitar. Take it off!
