Just wondering why my EC-1000 has the bridge pickup knob in the 1st position while the neck pickup is in the middle One would think that it would be the other way around. Has anyone reversed these knob locations?

One would think that it would be the other way around.

Has anyone reversed these knob locations?

Reverse wiring.

I believe some companies do this on certain models cause they figure that most people using those particular guitars use the bridge pickup 99% of the time. So having that knob closest to your hand is the most convenient set up.

Both of my Jackson's are wired that way. Too cumbersome for me to get to the knob beneath it if I need to kill my volume at the end of a song quickly.

You could easily re-wire it if you don't prefer it that way.

I ended up just swapping the pot locations, no need to redue the wiring :)

That works too if there's enough slack to move 'em around. ;)
