Wiring problem from factory

I have a EC400VF and right from the box, the bridge pickup (SD JB) buzzed every time I lift my hand off the strings. I thought it was a grounding problem and double checked the wiring and all the connections were done well. After a little research on the Seymour Duncan website, it turned out that the factory wired the JB incorrectly. From the factory, the green and black wires were join together, the red was “hot” and the white was common with the bare wire. From the SD website, white and red are join together, the hot is the black wire and green and the bare wire are common. It’s like the factory reversed the polarities. I rewired the guitar as SD recommended and buzzing went away right away. Oh yeah, in the process of fixing the buzzing, the bridge pot decided to go open circuit on me and I wasn’t getting anything out of the JB. I was scared for a second that I screwed up the pickup, but it was just the pot. Anyone else have this issue?
