Manufacturer codes on serial number

    My '08 Viper 50 was made in Indonesia with a prefix code before the serial number. I suppose this is the manufacturing plant code. It is "IS". Can anyone tell me what plant this indicates? Your response is appreciated. Thanks, Duffy

    At a guess... it stands for "Indonesia" perhaps?

      I'm trying to find out which factory. Some of the Indonesian factories have great reputations. I'm thinking the "S" stands for the factory code.

      There are some great Asian guitar manufacturing facilities that make guitars for many different companies and they all have reputations that you can check out.

      Any info on the factory code would be really appreciated and it might be appreciated by a lot of other people here too.
