15th fret problem

CAPTAIN SARG
hello everybody so my ibanez iceman is messed up i have recently changed the strings and on the 15th fret high e there is a muffled 16th fret high e note so basically the 15th fret makes the 16th fret pitch and there is no 15th fret pitch . anybody know whats wrong with my guitar? i think it has something to do with the truss rod. any help is appreciated

Sounds like a truss rod problem. My guess is you went with a lower gauge so you'd have to loosen the truss rod. Don't go crazy, try 1/8 or 1/4 turns then tune up and check it, repeat if needed but I doubt you'll need anymore than a 1/4 turn if you're only having a problem on one fret. More severe issues have multiple fret problems. I keep trying to tell people PICK A GAUGE AND STICK TO IT!

I change my gauges regualry and have no problems with my guitars.

CAPTAIN SARG

before i changed the strings ( gauges are 12-56) i was doing alot of tuning changes would this contribute to the problem

ScytheMan

usually by the 13 fret the workers at factories are anticipating their lunch so they hurry up and do a suck ass job
