same here! i clean and condition my fretboard(s) everytime i change strings, but there's nothing wrong with a quick wipe with a cloth every often if you get quite a bit of dust on it. :)
I dont really, but I do usually whipe off the strings after I play and I wash my hands before I play, so my fretboards look good :)
About once a month when I change strings. I use Fromby's deep cleaner followed by 2 coats of fret doctor. The better question is, how often do you all change strings?
don't use lemon oil. use Clarinet Bore oil... it's a smaller bottle.. but if it's good enough for the very best/most expensive $10K ebony clarinets.. its good enough for any fretboard.
