Three-way switch wiring help. wiring gurus: help!
So I ordered two push/pull b500k pots than i plan on swapping for the two volume pots my ibby SZ to serve as individual coil taps.. i have the wiring schematic complete, I'm just wondering what all the extra posts on the stock three-way switch are for.. http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc13/ballacheez/three-way.jpg can anyone give me a breakdown of it? here's ibanez's stock wiring diagram: http://ibanez.com/support/wiring/2005/W04010W.gif i'll have the two vols as push/pull coil taps, and the center pos. with both hums' coils on, not the south neck and north bridge coils like in this drawing.. the pickups are jb & jazz, not the stock duncan designed, not that it matters for wiring purposes..

I say just simplify the whole matter - buy a new, normal 3 way switch and wire the pickups using diagrams from the Seymour Duncan site. Ibanez use some weird-ass parts sometimes.

Yeah I see what you mean, I just used the same image for both pickups for the purpose of the diagram.

Well, my switches should be here today or tomorrow, gotta go get my soldering iron from my parent's house and find some good solder.

Oh, and the pickups are already installed, just doing a little rewiring under the hood is all..

got the pots in today, just finished the install.. took me forver to realize i had the tone pot wired backwards.. doh!
