Changing Gloss finish into Satin?

    Hi guys...

    I've just bought a 2nd hand Custom Shop Viper & it is AMAZING, but its a high gloss finish...I've always had a thing against gloss guitars, mostly because of the way it feels to touch; I always prefer satin. So, can I just do the unthinkable & spray a satin finish over the gloss??? Anyone with any experience of this? Very interested to hear a response...
