    Looking for History of Custom ESP By Serial Number

    Hi All,

    I have an ESP Custom with Serial Number 01084 on the neck plate. Black with gold hardware, Floyd Rose, etc. Guessing it was built in mid-to-late 80's. Just wondering how I can find more information on it? It has a "Made in Japan" sticker. I dusted it off after years of inactivity, and it sounds wonderful! I think the Seymour Duncan humbucker was added by the guys at the ESP Custom ship but not 100% sure. It may have been added after initial build. Pics attached.

    This is all that's really known about early ESP serial numbers, so check it out and see what you can figure out. You can also try emailing ESP for authentification, but I have a feeling they're going to show you the same thing I did. Good luck and great looking guitar!
