Hiroaki at Ishibashi is slow as fuck and is a fucking idiot. Anyone know of any other Japanese ESP Dealers who do international orders?

Why Technical House?

Shane - would I be right in saying you don't normally get to choose which shop makes your order, it depends on what area does a specific 'type' or which area is 'free?'

Correct. I've had them built in the TH and CH without any word beforehand that that's what would be happening. Why this guy wants TH I've no idea. Without being there in person there's no TH experience, if that's what he's looking for.

I wonder if the OP was as quick to reply to Hiroaki as he has been to his own post |I

Guitars Rebellion

TH workshop is closed. It is just a shop now ;)

From what I was told by a Japanese guy, TH was the equivalent of Fender Masterbuilt, CH did all the custom sculpted stuff, and the rest were just regular custom shops.

Anyway, they quoted me at $7.7k for a bolt on, so I bought the N serial strat off ebay.

Yeeeah...Thats nonsense :D

As it happens, the hand carved angel guitars are made by a guy who's based out of the same custom shop where the small production 'Original Series' guitars are made - it's just outside of Tokyo now. None of the shops are 'better' than the others, they just specialise in a few different areas each, but everything is built by hand from scratch in all of the shops, assuming it's a custom order or Original Series, so pretty much everything ESP put out could be compared to fender Masterbuilt, the only difference being that the masterbuilt guitars are usually built, finished and assembled by the same guy, whereas at ESP, they'd pick the best people they have from thier team to work on the various aspects of the build, the specification/type of guitar would dictate who they get to work on it - No point getting a vintage nitro finish specialist to paint an H-III in UV reactive splatter :p
