RZK-I vs RZK-II, KH-2 vs KH-3

What is the reason that Richard Kruspe and Kirk Hammett use two designs?

I have a feeling it isn't just for aesthetic reasons...do the different designs sound different from one another? How so?

I can't decide which RZK design I should buy, so I would appreciate if someone could explain the difference between the two other than the shape/why these two use these two different designs.

Well I will tell you this.  It’s fun.  Playing a different guitar inspires you in all sorts of ways. They all do sound different too.  Even two KH2 guitars set up the same will have tonal verity. So it boils down to them doing it because they have an awesome company that makes great tools for them.  Hope this helps.

Ok, so there is a tonal difference then? I'm probably going to just get the RZK I since most of his work with Rammstein appears to have been done with that guitar.

Also, the red pickup covers look cool.
