$6300 list for a new Lynch Tiger?

You're kidding right?

This is more expensive than cutting edge boutique's charge for completely custom guitars where you can choose your preference of woods, fret wire, pickups, neck profile, neck shape, etc (Anderson, Suhr, Tyler). In addition the tiger is virtually unchanged for the past 25 years when it was list for $1999.

Who would pay these prices? Has the world gone mad?

It is now custom shop only. That is the reason. Prices have gone up across the board. Custom shop ESPs were available for $2,000 back in the late '90s but not anymore. The ones that cost half just a couple of years ago we're standard series guitars which are good but not the same thing that is put in lynch's hands. Either get a used ESP or get a Jackson if you don't want to go over $2,000. I can imagine you won't like the E-II series since those are pricey for an unproven brand name no matter what ESP tells us. I see them as a more expensive LTD even if they are just rebranded standard series paint jobs.

Also no one in America at least pays list for any guitar. It probably goes for $3,500-4,000 retail in most shops especially if you have a good relationship with a dealer. They can always take a couple hundred off the price for you.
