Surprised about my GL-256

The store where I bought my L-256 has a reputatuon for being a little sleezey, but they were the only store in town that had one so, I bought it from there. So, I was wondering if the wiring was virgin, or if the guitar was used or modded in any way. Like I said, I don't trust them. The wiring looks good. But I noticed that the bridge pup was stamped B&B Pickup Co. Never heard of 'em. So I searched online and, low and behold, it's Bill Lawrence (Bill & Becky) pickup. I never would have suspected an American made pup in a guitar made in Vietnam.:D Nice surprise:D

if it is indeed a bill lawrence, then the wiring is definitely not stock.

Yea, that little guy that works there is a bit of a weasle. It's like Forrest Gump - "You never know what yer gonna get":rollin

When I saw the glue spots on the neck where the frets were lifting and soneone (probably him) glued em down but pretty sloppily - I almost blew my lid. But it sounds sooo good. And the neck.... plays like butter.

It's an awesome ax for the money. I'm already crunching the numbers to get a GL56:lol
