The ESP Guitar Company

Hi all, im new here and i was just wondering if i could ask a quick question regarding the serial number on a KHII. Im just painting one for someone and i noticed there is a 5 digit number on the back of the head and there is also one on the metal neck plate. Should these numbers match? because they dont. Ive got 29024 on the neck plate and 23025 on the head by the ESP custom logo. Its prob a stupid question but i know the guy has just bought this guitar and spent quite a lot of £££ on it, i was just wondering if its something i should tell him about. Thanks for any help on this and sorry if it is indeed a stupid question ;)
