EC-256 Distressed | Finish lines appearing around distress seams?

Hello!

I’ve had my 256 Distressed in Honey Burst since Summer of 2014.  The other night I happened to grab it off the stand and I felt a line on the finish of the top.  Right on the seam of where the “distressing” is.

I’m not sure how the distressing was done on these guitars but I didn’t imagine that a seam would ever possibly show up there or one even existed underneath.  It also seems to be on the back likewise where the distressing seams are.

It did just become colder out and I brought a small heater into that room. It never got super hot in there by any means but it’s the only thing I can honestly think of.  Maybe I’m overthinking it but this would be a genius way of the making the distressing look more realistic down the line.

Was just curious if anyone has had this experience with their distressed models.

Thanks!
