LTD SC-600 Stephen Carpenter, issue about serial number

    Hi, 

     

    I have a problem with an used guitar I want to buy : it's a LTD SC-600 Stephen Carpenter signature, made in Korea, serial W0518004.

    W is the Korea factory, 05 the year so 2005, but 18 ?? I read these numbers must be the month of production.... I tried a decoder on the web, but he don't find the origin of this guitar instead of my LTD EC-1000 made in Korea in 2006.

    Hi Johann. Your SC is legit. I wouldn't put much faith in the online serial number decoder. You are correct, it's from 2005 and made at World Musical Instruments i Korea.
